Burger Night.

I love to make homemade burgers. Whatever beans I have in hand are what I use along with other things like tofu, garlic, onions, grated carrots, bread crumbs, etc. I do eat frozen veggie burgers now and again but homemade are always better. I've made these 'smoky tofu and bean burgers' before and I don't think the recipe has ever failed me. They bake up wonderful, firm on the outside and tender on the inside. I like to serve them with grilled onions and a homemade thousand island sauce (vegan mayo, ketchup, relish, lemon juice, salt, pepper, hot sauce).

I was just trying to figure out what to do with some leftover black beans and then... I found this post! I even have some liquid smoke. This will be a tasty weekend recipe for sure.

Yum! These smoky tofu&bean burgers
look oh so good. I bet they are way better than the frozen burgers. Such a great idea to use up the leftover beans!

alright so i have some smoky maple tofu marinating in my fridge and i think part of it may go towards making two veggie burgers tonight for me and the husband...then the rest can be the "bacon" part on the husband's burger. heh. these look amazing.
