I made homemade chili oil today which I’ve never done before. I heated up a little pot of vegetable oil with some aromatics in it like cinnamon sticks, cloves, bay leaves and star anise. When it got hot, I poured it
through a sieve into a bowl of Chinese chili flakes.
Then I added salt and a tiny sprinkle of Chinese black vinegar.
Ingredients for the sesame noodles: 2 TB sesame paste, 2 TB light and dark soy sauce, Chinese black vinegar, sesame oil, chili oil that I made, sugar and hot water.
