Vegan Makeup Birthday Haul Part 2.

As promised, here are some gorgeous swatches of my other 2 orders from Silk Naturals and Shiro Cosmetics.

Silk Naturals! All on top of Milani eye primer L to R: Rendezvous (matte dark plum), Semi-Sweet (chocolate brown with pink interference shimmer), Boost (Deep peach with gold interference shimmer), Double Tap (free gift. Peachy champagne), Grainy (warm golden taupe tan). I forgot to swatch Mysterious!

Afterglow blush which is a dupe for Nars Orgasm, a peachy pink shimmering sheer blush. So good for tan skin tones.

A small order from my fave Shiro Cosmetics!

From L to R: Molag Bal (matte rose brown with subtle white sparks), Baker's Boy (light shimmery golden brown), Mockingjay (metallic brown-copper bronze), Star-Crossed (blackened coppery brown), Play Red Rover With the Fence (deep opaque plum with bright violet sparks).

Outdoor light.

I'm in love with them all!!! Beautiful choices and quality products. Go Cruelty Free today!
Silk Naturals make gorgeous dupes of MAC, Urban Decay, Nars and more!

Shiro is just a unique brand that I'm forever faithful to.

Edited to add: I forgot to swatch two Shiro shadow that I got. One is Don't Hurt Me and the other is Too Big To Be Allowed.

Don't Hurt Me on top is a gorgeous "smokey, blackened plum-copper with a soft rose overlay" and Too Big To Be Allowed is an earthy brown with pink sparkles. I used a bit of elf glitter primer underneath to bring out the pink sparks.

A natural look I did this morning. Silk Naturals Boost on eyelids with a little Semi-sweet blended into socket. Afterglow blush. Also used Shiro Cosmetics lipgloss in Nick Cage Niblling Petit Fours in a Posh Victorian Tearoom. Depending on primer and application the shadows can look soft and subtle like today or more dramatic like in the swatches which are heavy on the pigment.

Vegan Makeup Birthday Haul Part 1

I placed a few orders with several makeup companies recently as a late bday gift to myself. Today I had time to swatch my Brija Cosmetics and Tater Rounds Beauty eyeshadows.

Brija order: I Don't Age (rose gold), Hot Chocolate (warm brown), Take A Selfie (grey brown taupe), Page 394 (charcoal grey with blue tinge), Boo! (Free gift. Light sparkly grey blue).

Swatches in order as above. So beautiful! I especially love HotChocolate and I Don't Age.  Taken in front of window.

Indirect light.

These cuties are from Tater Rounds Beauty.

Cranberry Sauce (cranberry metallic red), Roasted Chestnuts (brown taupe with gold), Storm Cloud (grey brown matte taupe).

In front of window.

Indirect light. The red is not very metallic as it was described, but still pretty. The grey brown taupe leans very grey. It even has a purple tinge to it. Tater Rounds Beaty

All in all very happy with my orders. Next up, Shiro Cosmetics and Silk Naturals!

Vegan Cosmetics Review: Shiro 6th Anniversary Sale

Geez, I should probably start a vegan makeup blog huh? Well, I couldn't pass up an opportunity to order from Shiro Cosmetics when they were having a 20% off 6 year anniversary sale. Their stuff is so pretty and fun. So this is what I got: 2 lipglosses in Baby Don't Hurt Me and a custom gloss in That's Chess! 2 eyeshadows in Huge Six-cess (free with $25 purchase) and Smells Like Victory. And one face powder highlight in White Chocolate Frog. Shiro also included 2 free samples: a powder highlight in Curaga and eyeshadow in Violence Solves Everything.

White Chocolate Frog has the cutest packaging. Inside the lid you get a surprise character card. I got Harry Potter!

White Chocolate Frog is a pearly highlight. I'm pretty tan so if I use this, it is very sparingly and with a fluffy brush to create diffused highlight on my face. Top is a heavy swatch and underneath lightly dusted and blended.

Smells Like Victory is a matte-ish brick red/orange with a slight gleam. Huge Six-cess is a beautiful muted teal with glorious sheen.

My beautiful glosses in 2 colors that also fall into my wannabe BIBA makeup colors. On the left is That's Chess! in moderate. I think it's a little more opaque than moderate but I don't mind. It's a beautiful rusty, sludgy reddish golden brown with a nice metallic sheen. If not for the metallic aspect, it's almost a dupe for Biba's Turkish lipstick. On the right is Baby Don't Hurt Me which is sooooo gorgeous. A plummy mauve which falls into the "bruised fruit" color category a la Biba.

Both glosses swatched on my arm. Lovely.

As you can see here, my Shiro Cosmetics gloss collection is growing!

Vegan cosmetics review: Shiro Cosmetics

Another vegan cosmetics review. I've been on a vegan makeup shopping spree kick these past few months so you'll have to bear with my posts about it! I am loving all the colors and fun packaging and themes. Check it out. This is another indie company, Shiro Cosmetics based out of Oregon run by a lovely lovely gal named Caitlin. More fandom, movie, tv show, pop culture themes makes these products so much fun to collect and use.

These are the items I got. 10 eyeshadows and a lip gloss. They also included 3 free samples in little baggies.

These are full size shadows in 5 gram jars which range from $5 to $6 each and include artwork on the lids. From L to R: Diggy Diggy Hole (brown with green duochrome shimmer), What's This Lever Do? (red-orange shimmer), Ziggy (marsala red/pink shimmer with blue sparkles), Krampus Schnapps (goldy yellow), Midnight (navy).

These are the "mini jars" which are $3.50 each. From L to R: A Free Elf (mustardy brown), If You've Got Enough Nerve (metallic copper), It's Mine, I Licked It (dark green shimmer with blue sparkles), Women's Weapons (dark red), Grow Home Douglas, You're Trunk (mustard/green).

And the funniest lip gloss theme ever: Nic Cage Nibbling Petit Fours in A Posh Victorian Tearoom. So funny! This one is a beautiful dusty rose color. There are other Nic Cage glosses! And I'm not even a fan of Nic Cage!

Swatches on my arm on top of bare skin on left and primer on the right. From top to bottom: Violence Solves Everything (sample), Women's Weapons, If You've Got Enough Nerve, What's This Lever Do?, Ziggy, Ha Ha Ha Ha (sample).

Top to bottom: Ziggy, Ha Ha Ha Ha, Krampus Schnapps, A Free Elf, Grow Home Douglas, You're Trunk, It's Mine, I Licked It, Diggy Diggy Hole.

Grow Home Douglas, It's Mine, I Licked It, Diggy Diggy Hole, Demaciaaah, Midnight.
