Vegan Cosmetics Review: Fyrinnae

Fyrinnae has a very loyal following in the indie makeup community. They are known for unique colors and formula that I had to check it out for myself. They have a huge range of eyeshadow in so many gorgeous colors. It was very hard to choose!

I decided on L to R: Mauve-o-Matic, Bonfire Spirits, Fire Opal. And I got a free shade in Tango! Lucky me!

Top to bottom: Mauve-o-Matic, Bonfire Spirits, Fire Opal, Tango. Super gorgeous colors in a creamy formula which was so different from other companies I've tried. They are not considered a mineral makeup company and use other ingredients, but most importantly, they are 100% vegan.

The best photos I could get with light coming in the bathroom window. These are all swatched over elf glitter glue primer.

Zankou and Tacomiendo!

We took Hank to Zankou on Saturday for some falafel!

Hank ate his plush ladybug.

Sunday, my husband and I had a lunch date at Tacomiendo. Their salsa bar w
is awesome.

I got the huge veggie burrito (no cheese no sour cream). I poured salsa all over it.

Insides: rice, beans, grilled vegetables, guacamole and lettuce.

Hank got a new Jumperoo.

My homemade artichoke and tomato salad.

On top of French baguette with slices of Daiya cheese.

Crisp Chardonnay to wash it down!

Slime Green Eyeshadow?

Yes please! I ordered this from Apocalyptic Beauty who I reviewed a few weeks ago. Vogon Poetry is described as a metallic slime green! I had to get it because I have nothing like it in my collection. Also included was a sample of Planet Queen (song by T. Rex!)

Vogon Poetry is vibrant! Can't wait to try this in a look!

Planet Queen is pretty too! Love this cosmetics company because they are 100% vegan and cruelty free!

Banana cake.

I love it when bananas go ripe so I can make this moist and delicious cake.

Edit: Beverlee asked for the recipe. Can't find it online anymore so I took a pic of my recipe book.

A hot meal!

I haven't had a hot meal like this in so long. We've got Gardein turkey cutlet, mash and steamed broccoli.

Found this at my local supermarket! I loved Nando's because they had vegan options. There are locations all over the UK. and I had visited the location in Liverpool. The peri peri sauce was spicy and good!

Hank is now 4 months and at his last well baby visit on Monday, we learned that he is very healthy and weighs 18 lbs and measures 27"!

Brija Cosmetics 4th Birthday Sale.

My very conservative order when the Brija birthday sale came. I told myself to pick only three colors that I've had on my top 3 wish list. They are LeviOsa, Always The Tone of Surprise and Tale As Old As Time.
LeviOsa is a beautiful copper burgundy that is to die for! Always The Tone of Surprise is a matte chestnut brown and Tale As Old As Time is a light brown matte.

Also got a free gift with purchase which is a beautiful taupe with pink duochrome.

Shiro on Amazon!

Last week I was shopping for stuff (baby formula) on Amazon and these Shiro Cosmetics fell into my shopping cart! They are an Amazon merchant and most of their eyeshadow colors are available there. I couldn't help myself! They arrived very quick to my doorstep, about 3-4 days or so.

Top to bottom: He Loves His Hammer, Darling Dearest Dead, Smashing Pots, On Love: Eros. The last two are blowing my mind! The top two were free samples.

Can you believe On Love: Eros? It's unbelievable. Blackened brick red with sangria sparkle.

Apocalyptic Beauty!

So excited to share with you guys a new indie vegan cosmetics company that I'm already crazy about. Love at first sight! It's all vegan and also inspired by pop culture, horror films and all things delightfully absurd! I was able to purchase a blogger pack at the Etsy shop which came with 1 full size shadow of my choice plus random samples. Apocalyptic Beauty is run by a lovely woman Alisha who is also Rhapsodii, a beauty blogger on you tube! Love her videos.

My full size eyeshadow choice, "They're Coming To Get You, Barbara!"

On to swatches! From top to bottom:
1. They're Coming To Get You Barbara (my full size choice)- A beautiful rust red with a strong green shift. Always wanted a color like this. It is just what I expected!
2. Polly Plague- purple with green iridescence. Love this shade!
3. Existential Vampire- light red with blue sparks (hard to see the blue sparks in my swatch)
4. Wind-Up Bird- yellow gold. So shiny.

5. Send More Paramedics!- I was hoping I'd get this color as it was my second favorite when I had to choose my full size. It's a shimmery blackened purple with red and blue sparkles.
6. Kami- shimmery forest green with gold shift.
7. NeverMore Tisha- blue black with blue shift and aqua sparks. Another fave.

I hope my swatches look okay! I wanted to use tape but there where too many colors and I didn't have time. I was racing against the clock because Hank was napping and I was expecting him to wake up any second!

I absolutely love these shades and the formula feels smooth and easy to apply. Can't wait to wear them on my eyes. Go buy some now!!!

My Pretty Zombie Cosmetics.

MPZ offers vegan and non vegan makeup for the undead! Gorgeous colors and awesome packaging and branding. I got two eyeshadows in Cookie Pants and Melancholic.

Also includes goodies and free samples (the eyeshadow wasn't vegan but the blush and powder were). Cute!

Melancholic is a soft green with subtle gold shimmer. Cookie Pants is a warm brown with rose wine gold shift. I love them!

Evening outdoor light.

Indirect light.

Cookie Pants looks burgundy in some lighting.

Looks brown in others. Melancholic is gorgeous. I'm not into green that much but this one is lovely.
