Tempeh Reuben & Orange Tea Cake

Yummy tempeh reuben on german sunflower rye bread. That's Daiya cheddar!

A simple vanilla cake where I substituted oj and water for the liquid in the batter. I also added a bit of orange zest. This is perfect with tea.

Where/how did you get Daiya in blocks?! I've only seen it in shreds.

Erin,
My WF sells it in both shreds and blocks.

How is the daia? I've only had it melted on pizza.

german sunflower ryebread, did you make that yourself? exquisite. I have been a vegetarian for a very long time and I just found out that I have an allergy to dairy so I'm new to the vegan world. I miss cheese.
Any suggestions for vegan cheese alternatives would be awesome

omg I've never seen Daiya in blocks! I'll have to ask my WF to start stocking it.

Daiya cheese is great both cold and melted. It was really good in this sandwich.

Linda,
The bread is Meistmacher german bread which I got at Whole Foods. And I highly recommend Daiya vegan cheese!
