Indian Fry bread tacos

 Today I cooked from Native American Cooking : Foods of the Southwest Indian Nations and it was a long day of cooking but came out delicious. I made pinto beans in the crockpot which took about 4-5 hours and I made red chile sauce and Indian fry bread from the book. I topped the tacos with pico de gallo, the red chile sauce and coconut yogurt spiked with lime juice. Really tasty and the bread was a hit with my kid. I’m not a deep fryer so I might only make this on a few occasions. But if you haven’t tried it, you should!
