Walnut butter

 I made walnut butter today. I toasted two cups of walnuts and then processed them in my mini cuisinart for about 3-5 minutes, stopping to scrape the sides every so often. Then added 1/4 teaspoons salt and 1 tablespoon of maple syrup. 


It looked good at this point but I wanted it to be sweeter so I added another tablespoon of maple syrup and it thickened up considerably after I did this. Oops!

It’s still delicious and really good on toast. I ended up heating a little bit of it in the microwave for a few seconds to soften it so I can easily spread it. Highly recommend giving this a go.
