Pan fried Rice paper rolls

 Pantry cooking using rice paper wrappers I had. I decided to make pan fried rice paper rolls using leftover veggies and tofu in the fridge. I chopped up everything fine and added to the filling: mushroom soy sauce, maggi sauce, sugar, garlic, mushroom broth powder and salt and pepper. Pan fried them in oil which made them pretty greasy so not sure if I’ll make them again. But they were very tasty. The dipping sauce is soy sauce, sugar, sesame oil, Chinese black vinegar and chili oil. #panfriedricepaperroll #panfrieddumpling

Both dishes the musalwa’a and the Turkish pasta is me using items from my pantry. I’ve started a pantry cooking challenge to spend less money on groceries.

Palestinian lentils and rice using red lentils and jasmine rice from the pantry. Delicious and simple.

Turkish pasta using pasta and Turkish red pepper paste from the pantry and coconut yogurt and beyond meat from the fridge and freezer.

 Rice cooker meal came out so good. Rice, green beans, zucchini, tofu, cabbage with a chili oil and ssamjang sauce. 😋 Ingredients for sauce: ssamjang, chili oil, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, rice vinegar, soy sauce.

Dabeli

 Ohhh my god Indian street food goes hard! I saw a couple posts about Dabeli which is a pressed sandwich snack from the Kutch region in Gujarat. I did the best with what I had in my kitchen. The filling is mashed potatoes cooked with tamarind chutney and spices. The Dabeli spices consist of: Kashmiri chili powder, coriander, cumin, turmeric, fennel, coconut, sugar, clove, cinnamon, black pepper and star anise. To prepare the sandwich you add cilantro mint chutney to the buns with the potato mixture and tamarind sauce. Then you cook each side in (vegan) butter in a pan until hot. Then you sprinkle with sev which are crispy thin chickpea noodles. You are supposed to add toasted peanuts and pomegranate seeds which I didn’t have. I cannot tell you how delicious this was! It was spicy, tangy, crunchy, sweet, salty and buttery.😋🤤🤤🤤🤤 #dabeli #chaat #indianstreetfood❤️

Bbq tofu sandwich

 Bbq tofu sandwich. I sliced up my extra firm tofu into strips and coated them in oil and burger seasoning and put into the air fryer until browned. Then I pan fried them with bbq sauce and @flatironpepper Dark and Smoky chili flakes.

Chili oil rice cooker meal

 Oh my god this latest rice cooker meal was so delicious. It has rice, tofu, onions, carrots, gai lan and cabbage. I marinated the tofu briefly in vegetarian oyster sauce, garlic and sesame oil. The sauce I poured over before cooking is chili oil based using @laoganmausa along with soy sauce, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, sugar and rice vinegar.

Mini sushi bake

 Ive made this many times before but tonight i used the little bit of leftover tofu and rice to make this and it was just the perfect portion for me. So I made a small tiny version and baked it in my air fryer for 15 minutes. It was delicious.
