I wish I was more organized to get fresh meals ready everyday for Henri but because of time issues, that's not very realistic. Sometimes ya gotta pull a frozen Dr. Praeger's burger from the freezer. I cooked them in the oven and cut them up into little chunks and served them with ketchup, a side of boiled sweet potatoes (his fave) and a whole grain pita. He liked it and that is the most important thing.
You gave Hank a well-balanced, nutritious, and delicious meal! We Moms put a lot of pressure on ourselves to be "perfect." Honestly, I read some people's blogs and I think, gosh, there are a lot of ways I'd rather spend my time than cooking up XYZ from scratch every day and making tomato flowers and panda sushi for their lunchbots. It's unrealistic for most of us and UNNECESSARY, too! You're a great Mom who obviously takes excellent care of your boy. Don't let yourself feel bad or guilty for making the same choices 99% of us Moms make, too :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Bethany! Luckily this boy likes food and eats a lot of food I cook for him.
