No Blame Veggie Tacos. Order without the cheese. I switched out corn for flour tortillas which was a personal preference. It would have been great with corn tortillas too.
Those fries look delicious! As do the tacos. Thanks for the reminder of how easy it is to eat vegan, even at Chains! This is my first time commenting, but I have loooooved your blog for quite some time!
Thanks! I love going out to eat and I was happy to find something at Islands. The tacos are the only thing that vegans can get as the veggie burger there is not vegan.
Thanks this really helped. I eat there almost weekly and I got sick of the veggie tacos so tonight I had a Chicken Hoisin Bowl minus the chicken. It is topped w/fresh grilled pineapple, red bell peppers, snow peas, water chestnuts, red onions, broccoli & diced scallions w/hoisin sauce, served over brown rice. Also available w/teriyaki sauce. I checked the allergen list and this had no dairy or eggs. It was good. Now I have two things to pick from tacos (which I've been getting for years when I was a vegetarian) or a bowl. Thank you vegan mouse, I'm a big fan!
My girlfriend works at islands and the brown rice is cooked with butter.. ive been vegan ovwr a year now and used to get that when i was first transitioning over.. idk why they put butter in rice.. it makes no sense
Just Googled "Islands vegan" and your blog came up. Thanks for the info - but after searching Islands' allergens info, the no blame tacos do have dairy in them (most likely cooked in butter). Have you found success asking them to grill it in oil for you? Thanks!
Hi anon, yes I know the allergen info says "dairy". It is due to the cheese that they normally put in the tacos. If you have them leave out the cheese, it's dairy free. The veggies are grilled. These tacos are in the low calorie section if the menu. They are delicious!
I feel that the seasoning salt on the fries has seafood in it (anyone know about this?). So I order them without the seasoning salt to avoid potential seafood eating.

DeleteDo you know if there are bell peppers in the veggie patties at islands? Can't find an ingredient list.
