I'm currently reading a food memoir called "Monsoon Diary" and reading about all the delicious indian foods made me crave this dish big time. I've always used this recipe every time I make pav bhaji. I substitute dairy free Earth Balance margarine for the butter. This always turns out mouthwateringly delicious.

I walked into Venice Whole Foods yesterday to find a whole case of VEGAN DONUTS. There were about 8 varieties. I was so excited I was literally jumping up and down while my friend Cami laughed at me. They also had vegan turnovers, muffins and cookies.
Look at these beauties.
I'm about to eat my first donut in six years!!! (It's a Chocolate Long John.)
It's got custard inside!
This apple fritter was the apple fritter of my vegan dreams. Can't wait to go back and have a go at the other flavors!

Refreshing thai tofu larb on top of salad greens.
Recipe here. Note: Don't need to "deep fry" tofu, just cook over heat until it is completely dry and all moisture is gone. Use firm tofu, lime juice instead of lemon juice and add some mint leaves.
BBQ Chili in a bun. Just make your favorite chili and add bbq sauce to it!

Made my old standby today which actually I haven't made in a while. Find the recipe here. This time I used spinach, chipotle pinto beans and El Pato jalapeno salsa/tomato sauce for the sauce. And if you're wondering what the orange topping is, it's Vegenaise mixed with a bit of salsa and lime juice.
Excuse the messy plate. This was my second helping topped with avocado.
